Rospotrebnadzor of the Republic of Tatarstan believes that one of the “severe” restrictive COVID-security measures has been introduced in the republic. If they are observed, the authorities do not see the risks of worsening the epidemiological situation

Marina Patyashina, HEAD of the department of Rospotrebnadzor of the Republic of Tatarstan, said that some of the “severe” restrictive covid measures have been introduced in the republic. According to her, if they are observed, then the authorities of the Republic of Tatarstan do not see the risks of worsening the epidemiological situation.

“Therefore, it was decided not to introduce non-working days ahead of schedule, but to announce them from October 30. Yes, in recent weeks there has been an intensive increase in the number of cases. In this regard, the operational headquarters took one of the first among other regions the most stringent restrictive measures. It must be said that today in the Republic of Tatarstan the set of measures is the most severe, probably among the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, ”she said at a press conference at the Tatar-inform news agency.

On October 19, Tatarstan declared non-working days from October 30 to November 7. The decision was made after the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov was informed about the epidemiological situation.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, head of the Russian operational headquarters Tatyana Golikova included Tatarstan among the regions where there was a difficult situation with morbidity and mortality from covid-19 , and also named among the subjects with the worst situation in the formation of herd immunity. The Russian authorities gave such regions the opportunity to make non-working days from October 23 to November 7.

“Taking into account the measures already taken in the Republic of Tatarstan since October 11 (government decree on restrictions on visiting restaurants, shopping centers, fitness centers; mandatory isolation of persons over 65 years of age without vaccination, as well as the resolution of Rospotrebnadzor on mandatory vaccination of certain categories of citizens) a decision was made not to introduce days off from October 23, ”said Lilia Galimova, press secretary of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Patyashina said that the increase in the incidence in the republic was expected, since in August the rate of vaccination began to decline.

“By the end of the summer, when the holidays were over, people calmed down, as the situation in August was stable. At the same time, everyone was told that autumn was coming, growth would begin, and the risks would be huge. However, the population, unfortunately, does not hear. The result was not long in coming - we have growth that was expected, ”she said.
