Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh on his victory in the presidential elections in Mongolia by sending him a TELEGRAM, the Kremlin press service reports.

“I hope that your activity as HEAD of state will contribute to the further strengthening of the comprehensive strategic partnership between RUSSIA and Mongolia,” the telegram says.

According to Putin, the results of the elections fully confirmed the high political authority of Khurelsukh.

Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh won the presidential elections in Mongolia on 10 June. More than 815 thousand voters voted for him, the turnout was 52.69%. According to the amendments to the Constitution, for the first time the inhabitants of the country elect the head of state for six years.
