Shuleiko announced negotiations in the Russian government on balances of mutual food supplies

February 4, Moscow . Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Yury Shuleiko announced that negotiations on the balance of mutual food supplies will be held in the Russian government on February 5. He announced this in a conversation with journalists at the Prodexpo 2025 exhibition in Moscow, BelTA has learned.

"On the balance (of food supplies. - Note by BelTA): tomorrow we will discuss this issue in the Russian government, confirmation of our volumes and plans for 2025 will be found," Yury Shuleiko said.

According to him, in addition to food supply balances, the talks will also include discussions of joint plans in the areas of seed production, animal breeding, etc. "We must understand that Belarus does not produce everything ; we buy a lot from the Russian Federation. Our farmers, scientists, and manufacturers are discussing improvements in technological processes and increased product safety. And these are developments of both sides," the Deputy Prime Minister noted.
"We are increasing exports to the Russian Federation; this applies to all items. But for some items, for example, beef, we need to have long-term prospects, since work to increase its production has been underway for more than one year. The same applies to milk," added Yuri Shuleiko.

At the Prodexpo-2025 exhibition, the Deputy Prime Minister and the Ambassador of Belarus to Russia Alexander Rogozhnik examined the exposition of Belarusian manufacturers Made in Belarus, organized by the unitary enterprise Belinterexpo of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In addition, they viewed independent expositions of Belarusian enterprises in various sections of the exhibition: this year, more than 70 food producers from Belarus are participating in it.
"Prodexpo" is the largest international exhibition of food and beverages in Russia and Eastern Europe. The site presents food from all over the world: from basic products and drinks for every day to exquisite delicacies, as well as organic and sports nutrition , for a healthy lifestyle, halal, kosher, exotic products.
