In the Far East, 74% of livestock meat production is now produced in this macroregion. Pig farming is experiencing particularly rapid growth: in the first 11 months of 2025 , pork production increased by 27%, reaching 119,000 tons. Primorsky Krai saw remarkable growth in this sector (+57%), leading to an increase in the pig herd to 423,000 animals.

Poultry production also increased by 8%, reaching 49,000 tonnes. In the dairy sector, growth was reported in several regions: Amur Oblast (+13% to 72,000 tonnes), Primorsky Krai (+2% to 51,000 tonnes), and Khabarovsk Krai (+1.1% to 6,600 tonnes). As a result, the macroregion produced 204,900 tonnes of milk.

With the increase in the number of modern dairy farms and the use of the latest technology, further growth in this sector is expected, supported by local authorities .
