Russia has significantly increased its agricultural exports to Benin in 2025.

This figure broke the all-time high set in 2022 ($20.9 million), according to data from the federal center Agroexport. In physical terms, shipment volumes increased to 9,000 tons, representing a 3.6-fold increase. Turkeys and by-products accounted for the bulk of EXPORT revenue, accounting for over $20 million. Chicken carcasses worth over $400,000 and finished turkey products worth over $220,000 were also shipped. The Damate Group, one of Russia's leading turkey producers, emphasized that Benin is a key export destination, despite the 60 countries to which it holds export permits.
