The criminal, who had previously been convicted, noticed the horse in the summer while collecting scrap metal. Intoxicated, he decided to steal the animal for resale. He slaughtered the horse, butchered it, and sold the meat to unknown buyers. He used the proceeds for personal expenses. The owner has already been partially compensated for the damage, and a criminal case has been opened for the theft. The suspect was given a written undertaking not to leave the area and to behave properly, with the maximum penalty under this article being up to six years in prison.
