Agricultural production in Belarus in January-February decreased by 1%

March 16, Minsk. The production of rural products in farms of all categories (in agricultural organizations, farms, households) in January-February 2021 amounted to Br2.067 billion, or 99% in comparable prices compared to the same period in 2020, BelTA learned from the National Statistical Committee.

Farms of all categories produced 295.2 thousand tons of livestock and poultry in live weight, 1.211 million tons of milk, 535.7 million eggs were received. The share of agricultural organizations accounts for 95.9% of the production of livestock and poultry in live weight, 98.2% of milk and more than 92% of eggs.

As of March 1, there were 4.2 million heads of cattle in agricultural organizations, including 1.4 million cows. The number of pigs was 2.6 million.
