The Saratov region maintains its leading position in the Volga Federal District in agricultural exports.

Fat and oil products , primarily sunflower oil , account for the largest share of exports .
The region also exports grain and legume crops, meat and dairy products, and food and processing products.
Key export destinations include the CIS, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. The top five exporting countries include Turkey , India, Azerbaijan , Belarus , and Turkmenistan. Significant volumes of regional agricultural products are also exported to China , Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Israel.
"The competitiveness of Saratov producers is steadily growing, the quality of raw materials is improving, and the share of high-value-added products is increasing. All of this combined ensures strong demand in foreign markets," noted Oleg Kozlov, Head of the Department for Food and Processing Industry Development at the regional Ministry of Agriculture.
Furthermore, the expansion of exports is largely facilitated by the activities of the national project "International Cooperation and Export," which has been implemented since 2018 at the initiative of the President.
