August 8, MINSK . As part of its export-import business development in Belarus, CHINA National Forestry Corporation intends to expand its cooperation with the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange. The corporation plans not only to increase its purchases of Belarusian lumber at exchange trades but also to sell Chinese-made goods through the BUCE import substitution platform. This was announced by Li Yingtian, HEAD of the Company's Procurement Department, during a meeting with the exchange's management, the BUCE press service told BelTA.

The Chinese side's initiative was fully supported by Eduard Belsky, First Deputy Chairman of the Board of BUCE, who, in turn, recommended that the Chinese corporation move to practical action and join the import substitution exchange platform as soon as possible.

"Like any other electronic trading platform, our platform achieves maximum efficiency only with a large number of buy and sell orders. In other words, the higher the concentration of supply and demand during trading, the greater the economic impact. The first thing you need to do is fill the trading system with offers, and we'll start working with them immediately, attracting potential buyers and communicating information about your products to your target audience. Experience shows that with this approach, the results of using the exchange mechanism will be immediate," emphasized Eduard Belsky.

During the negotiations between BUCE and the Chinese corporation, the parties discussed prospects for activating exchange trading in other commodity categories. As a result, an agreement was reached to explore the possibility of importing Belarusian rapeseed oil and MILK powder to China , as the most liquid commodities. In this context, the corporation's accreditation as an exchange broker is also being considered, which will allow it to attract businesses from other sectors to BUCE.
