"It's both economics and security." Rusy on the value of bread as Belarusian gold

August 14, MINSK . No lump of gold can replace a piece of bread, said Mikhail Rusy, Chairman of the Standing Commission of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus on Legislation and State Building, in the program "Markov. Nothing Personal" on the TV channel, BELTA reports.
"I think that every person's well-being is always associated with bread. No lump of gold can replace a piece of bread, i.e. there will be no agro-industrial production, no work with the land, no sufficient production of our own production - namely, those that we can produce, and we can do almost everything. it is through the latest technologies that we can solve everything, because this is a kind of locomotive for the movement of the economy," said Mikhail Rusy. " Money simply buried in the ground - only a fool does this, but money invested in land, in technology, equipment, in seeds, in breeding - they pay off many times over in the form of currency. In addition, this is ensuring our own production and selling on world markets those products that we can (produce. - Note by BELTA), which is being successfully done in our country."
The sanctions have become a certain incentive for us in the development of the agro-industrial complex. "This has enabled our minds, our people, our technologists to find a solution to any issue. And we (look at the agro-industrial complex) in principle do not experience any problems in a number of areas due to the right management decisions," the parliamentarian noted. "We sold less fertilizers for EXPORT - we invested more in ourselves, we received products, feed, grain. We need 1 million tons of bread to fully provide the people with more than enough for their needs in all areas: food , confectionery, etc. And the rest goes to feed the cattle. We get MEAT , MILK , eggs . We need about 40% of milk (from the volume of our own production - BELTA note) for domestic consumption, 60% goes for export. All the growth that is happening now is additional export. This is money. On the one hand, this is currency that comes to us. And on the other hand, this is our country's participation in the food security of the world."

Our own bread is sovereignty. "This is already both the economy and security," added Mikhail Rusy. Screenshots of the ONT TV channel video
