June 17,
MINSK . Belarusian Prime Minister
Roman Golovchenko spoke on television about the growth of Belarusian food exports, BELTA reports.
"The outlook for the harvest is good so far. But to ensure
it reaches the storehouses in full, we need to work hard. Considering that the harvest dates have shifted slightly this year, I believe that within a few weeks—two to three—a number of winter crops will already be in the harvesting stage. Therefore, timing, the mobilization of all personnel, so to speak, and the readiness of equipment are critically important now," said Roman Golovchenko.
According to the Prime Minister, these issues are being closely monitored. "We understand that simply growing a harvest is not enough (for which, for now, we thank the heavenly office). It is crucial to harvest it on time, and harvest it well, so that we get the maximum benefit from the state's investments in the agro-industrial complex," he noted.
Roman Golovchenko also noted that food
exports are also growing. "We earned $2.7 billion in just the first four months of this year. Food prices are also improving. We're growing production of
MEAT,
MILK, poultry, and chicken
eggs . I think the agro-industrial complex should play a very important role in the country's overall economy this year," the prime minister added.
