December 31, Minsk . Belarus expects $9 billion in food exports by the end of this year, and the bar for 2025 needs to be set even higher. This was stated by Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko in an interview with a television channel , according to a BELTA correspondent.

"Container shipping on Belarusian Railways is developing at a very significant pace. Rail freight of food products is carried out to more than 20 countries. The geography of our consumers is expanding. We took an interesting step this year – we listed milk on the exchange. We see that this has fully justified itself. A large number of buyers have registered on the exchange and participated in the transaction, even from the most exotic countries," Roman Golovchenko said.He drew attention to the development of cooperation with Oman. "The head of state recently visited Oman; we were there before that (referring to a government delegation – BELTA). One of the new areas of cooperation – the production and supply of baby food, the development of milk processing – has been confirmed. There are many such projects. We must work actively and intensively on them all," the Prime Minister emphasized.

"We expect a fairly significant volume of foreign exchange earnings from the export of our food products by the end of the year; we should reach $9 billion. Despite all the difficulties, our processors and farmers have performed quite successfully. The higher we set the bar this year, the higher we must set it next year," the head of the Belarusian government stated.
