US-sanctioned minister calls restrictions 'short-sighted evil'

The sanctions imposed by Western countries do not affect the development of RUSSIA and the regions, but increase instability in international relations, Alexei Chekunkov, Minister for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, told RBC commenting on his inclusion in the US sanctions list on February 24 .

“The next unfriendly steps only increase instability and introduce additional uncertainty into international relations, both in the humanitarian and technological aspects. Sanctions  are a short-sighted evil,” he said.
