July 27, Gomel. In the Petrikovsky district, a combine harvester was twice caught stealing diesel fuel, BelTA learned from the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Gomel regional executive committee.

On the evening of July 22, a passenger car leaving the forest near the village of Chelyushevichi came into view of the district inspector. He stopped the car.

As it turned out, the 43-year-old Chelyushevichi combine operator was transporting cans of dyed diesel fuel in the trunk and in the cabin. "The man said that for several days during the harvesting of grain he poured diesel fuel from the harvester assigned to him and hid it in the forest. Having collected 200 liters, he decided to transport it home," the police department explained.

Law enforcement officers are checking. The police noticed that a few years ago a farm worker was convicted of a similar crime: he drove a combine harvester to his farmstead and poured 300 liters of diesel fuel.
