Export of Belarusian food in January-November increased by 16%

January 5, MINSK. The EXPORT of Belarusian food products and agricultural raw materials in January-November 2021 increased by 16%, goods worth $6.034 billion were delivered abroad, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.

"The increase in foreign exchange earnings amounted to $832 million. This is a record figure compared to the annual values ​​of previous years," the press service said.

Belarusian foodstuffs were supplied to 106 countries of the world in January-November. The increase in deliveries was observed in almost all regions. Exports to the CIS countries, including the Russian Federation, increased by 12%. To non-CIS countries, compared to the corresponding period of 2020, deliveries increased by 41.8%, including to Asia and Oceania - by 39.3%, the EU - by 43.6%, America and the Caribbean - by 58.4%. Food exports to CHINA increased by 39.5%.

Export of MILK and dairy products increased by 10.4%, MEAT and meat products - by 17.4%, fish and fish products - by 25.7%, eggs - by 38.1%, potatoes and products of its processing - by 53.6 %, vegetables and mushrooms - by 14.8%, rapeseed oil - by 81.3%, water and alcoholic beverages - by 6.7%, chocolate and products containing cocoa - by 36.6%.
