Retirement age and insurance period will increase
Starting from 2017, the retirement age has been raised by six months annually. Now it is 62.5 years for men and 57.5 for women. Starting from January 1, these figures will be added for another six months: men will be able to go on a well-deserved rest at 63 years old, women - at 58 years old.
The minimum insurance period required to receive a pension from 2022 will be 18 years and 6 months (now - 18). Those who did not reach this indicator can apply for a social pension of Br141.73.
Base rate and minimum wage to rise
The size of the base rate for remuneration of employees of budgetary and equivalent organizations from January 1 will increase from Br198 to Br207.
Next year, the increase in the base rate is planned to be carried out in two stages up to Br210. At the first it will be 4.5%. The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection noted that the decision will affect about 850 thousand state employees.
The monthly minimum wage will be Br457 (in 2021 it was Br400). Taking into account indexation, the size of the minimum wage increased to Br418.14.
Reimbursement will change
It will double in size. About Br120 million will be allocated for this. For teachers, including those in the field of physical education and sports, the payment is calculated taking into account the pedagogical (educational) workload.
Food embargo comes into effect
From January 1, in response to sanctions , Belarus introduces a food embargo on a number of goods from states that carry out unfriendly actions against our country. The import ban applies to certain goods from the European Union and its Member States, the United States of America, CANADA, Norway, Albania, Iceland, North Macedonia, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Montenegro, Switzerland. The ban includes pigs, cattle MEAT, pork, a number of offal, meat salted, in brine, dried or smoked, edible meal from meat or meat offal, MILKand dairy products (with certain exceptions), vegetables other than those intended for sowing, fruits and nuts, fat from pigs and poultry, cattle, sheep or goats, lard stearin and other animal oils, sausages and similar products, confectionery, SALT and other goods.
Introduce a tax on an apartment
Payers will be everyone who owns real estate - apartments, cottages, rooms, and so on. The tax amount is determined on the basis of the estimated cost of 1 sq.m of a typical permanent structure (building, structure) as of January 1, the total area of the dwelling and the tax rate of 0.1%.
For example, for a standard apartment of 60 square meters per year, you will have to pay from Br27 in district centers to Br48.6 in MINSK. The advance payment must be made no later than November 15, 2022.
For some, the benefit remains. Among them are pensioners, disabled people, minors, members of large families, conscripts, participants in the Great Patriotic War.
Innovations in family capital
The areas of early use of family capital are expanding. This applies to both the program from 2015 to 2019 and from 2020 to 2024. For example, the period for early use of family capital funds when family members receive paid medical services has become longer. From the new year, they can be spent within two years from the date of filing an application for unfreezing funds.
Another innovation: from January 1, when applying for the appointment of family capital, adopted (adopted) children who at the time of adoption were stepchildren or stepdaughters of the adoptive parent (that is, within the same family) can also be taken into account in the family. But this is possible under certain conditions.
Belarusian banknotes of 2000 sample will be invalid
If you have Belarusian banknotes of the 2000 model, it's time to exchange them - starting from January 1, they will be considered invalid. You can do this at the cash desks of the NATIONAL BANK at Tolstoy Street, 6, in Minsk.
The denomination was carried out in Belarus in July 2016, equating 10 thousand Belarusian rubles to 1 ruble.
From September 2022, the updated law "On Road Traffic" will come into force. There are many changes. For example, it will be possible to study and take an exam at the traffic police in a car with an automatic transmission.
