Meat production increased in Kabardino-Balkaria

In Kabardino-Balkaria, in 2022, according to preliminary data from the North Caucasus State Statistics Service, the production of livestock and poultry MEAT for slaughter in live weight in all categories of farms amounted to 129.7 thousand tons, or 103.5% of the 2021 level.

The organized sector, which includes agricultural organizations, peasant (farm) enterprises and individual entrepreneurs, produced almost 59% of the total volume of livestock and poultry meat produced in the republic for slaughter in live weight.

The households account for more than 41% of the meat produced in the KBR. If we talk about production by type of meat, then on average, poultry accounts for over 46.5%, cattle - more than 42%, sheep and goats account for about 9%, pigs and other meat - over 2%, informs the Ministry of Agriculture of the KBR.
