Two tons of potentially dangerous meat seized from Kurgan businessman

Raw materials of unknown origin were intended for the manufacture of semi-finished meat products

The Office of Rosselkhoznadzor for the Kurgan region seized two tons of potentially unsafe meat from a Kurgan entrepreneur. Raw materials were intended for Kurgan enterprises that manufacture meat semi-finished products.

Rosselkhoznadzor carried out a check against the businessman together with employees of the OEB and the PC of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Kurgan. On the livestock products belonging to him there was no appropriate marking (prints of branch marks) that would confirm its origin, species and expiration dates. This fact may indicate the introduction into circulation of products of unknown origin, commented in the department.

By law, food products, materials and products, the traceability of which cannot be established, are recognized as low-quality and are subject to examination, disposal or destruction.

Registration in FSIS "Mercury" of electronic veterinary accompanying documents for all products of the entrepreneur has been suspended.

To prevent further turnover of these products, the Rosselkhoznadzor Department sent information to the consignees. For the identified violations in March, a protocol was drawn up against the entrepreneur under Part 1 of Art. 14.43 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (violation by the manufacturer, contractor (a person performing the functions of a foreign manufacturer), seller of the requirements of technical regulations).
