Tambov region for 9 months reduced meat production by 2%, milk - increased by 1% - Tambovstat

In January-September 2021, the Tambov region produced 425.3 thousand tons of MEAT for slaughter in live weight, which is 2.3% less than in the same period last year, Tambovstat reports.

At the same time, MILK production for 9 months amounted to 59.3 thousand tons (an increase of 1%).

According to the press service of the regional administration, positive dynamics in milk production was achieved due to the introduction of advanced technologies, the development of selection and breeding work in dairy cattle breeding, as well as the provision of state support to farms.

Thus, the milk productivity of cows has significantly increased in the region. For 9 months, the average milk yield per cow of the dairy herd amounted to 5,204 kilograms (an increase of 4.2%). The leading positions in terms of milk productivity of cows in the region are occupied by Golitsyno JSC, Zhupikov Dairy Farm LLC, Tambov-Moloko LLC.
