The average daily MILK yield per cow on Tomsk Oblast farms is 21 kg. This figure has increased by 7.15% compared to 2024 , when it was 19.6 kg last year.
According to data from the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, Tomsk Oblast consistently leads the Siberian Federal District in average daily milk yield. Krasnoyarsk Krai ranks second (20.3 kg of milk per cow per day), and Irkutsk Oblast ranks third (18.7 kg).
Dairy farms in the region produce an average of 320 tons of milk per day. The top five companies in terms of annual production growth include Dubrovskoye JSC in the Kozhevnikovsky District (130.25%), Krivosheinsky SPK in the Krivosheinsky District (128.5%), Mezheninovsky SPK in the Tomsky District (112.99%), Agrokompleks LLC in the Zyryansky District (112.58%), and Podsobnoye LLC in the Kozhevnikovsky District (111.21%).
According to Anatoly Timokhin, chief livestock specialist at Dubrovskoye JSC, the secret to increased production is simple: formulating the right cow diet.
"We've done a lot of work, analyzing and balancing the cows' diets. We've found the resources to incorporate all the necessary supplements into the diet and purchased an effective protein-mineral vitamin complex. We also supplement the diet with corn grain, which also plays a positive role. We have strong staff who love and know how to work with animals. "Our cows have the potential to produce 11,000-12,000 kg of milk per year. Currently, we milk 28 kg of milk per cow per day," emphasized Anatoly Timokhin.
Based on the results for 2024, the highest milk productivity was demonstrated by cows belonging to Sibirskoye Moloko LLC in the Asinovsky District (10,134 kg), Mezheninovsky SPK in the Tomsk District (8,810 kg), and Belostok SPK in the Krivosheinsky District (8,519 kg). This year, the leaders in productivity are Sibirskoye Moloko, which plans to reach 10,160 kg of milk, Bolshedorohovskoye Moloko LLC, which plans to milk 9,500 kg, and Mezheninovsky SPK, which intends to milk almost 9,900 kg of milk per cow.
