Yury Burlachko, chairman of the WGW, spoke about how this year the agricultural policy in terms of livestock development will be implemented in the region.

He noted that the industry has always been one of the priorities in the development of the regional agro-industrial complex. Now in animal husbandry in the region there is a steady growth. According to the results of 2020, agricultural enterprises ensured an increase in livestock by 10,000 heads, the ZSK press service reports.

- Together with the executive authorities, we place special emphasis on the future of animal husbandry. Of course, positive trends in its development are associated with the adoption by us in 2018 of a relevant law. The results were not long in coming. The gross milk yield exceeded the figures for 2017 by almost 70 thousand tons and amounted to more than one and a half million tons. From each cow in 2020, 8866 kilograms of milk were received. This is an absolute record of herd productivity, - said Yuriy Burlachko.

He noted that for the first time in the history of the Kuban, a billion rubles were allocated for the development of dairy production alone. According to the concept of livestock development in the Krasnodar Territory, by 2030 it is planned to increase the volume of milk production up to 2.1 million tons per year, and meat - up to 800 thousand tons. This will provide quality products to consumers from the region and enter foreign markets.

- At present, we have a clear plan for the development of animal husbandry. And it consists not only in supporting dairy production, but also in increasing soil fertility due to the organic matter introduced into it, as well as in creating selection and genetic centers. The head of the region, Veniamin Ivanovich Kondratiev, has repeatedly spoken about this. In March last year, by order of the regional Ministry of Agriculture, a working group was organized to organize a selection and genetic center, where dairy cattle will be bred. And just a month ago, in the Novokubansk region, several projects were already presented to create selection and genetic centers in dairy cattle breeding. I note that by 2025 the Krasnodar Territory plans to receive more than 5 thousand of its own embryos, he stressed.

As Yury Burlachko noted, the deputies of the Legislative Assembly will continue to provide the industry with comprehensive support, improve regional and federal legislation.
