We are talking about such categories as animal feed, technical means for rehabilitation (TSR), veterinary drugs, canned food, vegetable oils, red and blackcaviar , bicycles, non-alcoholic beer .

According to the document, the launch of the permitting regime for veterinary medicines, caviar, non-alcoholic beer, bicycles and consumer goods is planned for the fall of 2025, and in the spring of 2026 the effect will extend to animal feed and vegetable oils, and from 2027 to canned food.

In the permitting regime, the cash register automatically blocks the sale of expired and illegal goods through integration with the “Honest Sign” labeling system.

As Deputy General DIRECTOR of the Center for the Development of Advanced Technologies (CRPT, operator of the state labeling system “Honest Sign”) Revaz Yusupov explained, such a mechanism is aimed at strengthening control over cash registers and protecting consumers, because it eliminates the human factor.

“When scanning the label, the information system of the cash register software (software - Ed.) contacts the “Honest Sign” to obtain information about the product. If they try to punch the marking code again, or the product’s expiration date has already expired, or the product is prohibited for sale, the system will not allow it to be sold. It is important that the mechanism does not affect the operation of stores or the cost of goods: to connect to the mode, the store only needs to update the cash register software and instruct the staff,” he said.

In RUSSIA, this mechanism has been gradually introduced since April of this year. So far it has been extended to four groups of goods: tobacco, draft beer, as well as water and dairy products in large retail.
