A team of scientists from the Timiryazev Academy received a patent for a unique feed formula for cows

A team of scientists from the Timiryazev Academy, with the assistance of specialists from the Agro-Matic company, has developed a compound feed formula for highly productive lactating cows. The introduction of new technology will increase MILK productivity and reduce the cost of animal rations. 

When creating a new formula for a feed additive, the scientists of the Timiryazev Academy focused on achieving the most important task facing livestock farms and enterprises - ensuring a balanced diet for animals. This characteristic has a significant impact on the productivity, HEALTH and reproduction of cows.

Based on this, the scientists of the Department of Nutrition of the RGAU-MSHA have developed a protein concentrate based on white lupine and MEAT and bone meal. As part of the team of authors led by the HEAD of the department, DOCTOR of Biological Sciences Nikolai Petrovich Buryakov, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences Maria Alekseevna Buryakova, Candidate of Biological Sciences Anastasia Sergeevna Zaikina and assistant Dmitry Evgenievich Aleshin spoke. The scientific work was carried out with the participation of Andrey Ernestovich Stavtsev, General DIRECTOR of Agro-Matic LLC, and Irina Alexandrovna Kasatkina, Chief Livestock Specialist of the Maysky Breeding Farm.

To evaluate the effectiveness of the formulation of the new compound feed, scientists conducted a scientific and economic experiment at the SHPK "Plemzavod" Maisky "in the Vologda region.

As a result of experimental work, the invention proved its effectiveness - its use allowed to increase the milk productivity of cows by 12% and reduce the cost of animal diet by 6%.

The authors themselves note that at present, the new technology is already at the stage of implementation on the basis of a number of agricultural enterprises in the central region of RUSSIA.

The invention is patented and relates to the field of agriculture and can be used in feed production, feed industry in the production of feed, feed for lactating cows.
