The Severnaya State Poultry Farm, located in the capital of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, has begun mass slaughtering of laying hens.

In the near future, shops in Anadyr and nearby settlements will receive more than 10 tons of chicken MEAT. In August, 14.5 thousand heads of young animals will be brought to the poultry farm from Irkutsk, and in September, locally produced eggs will again appear in retail trade. Now the self-sufficiency of the region for this type of poultry products is 42%.

In early September, a branch of the Severnaya poultry farm will open in the village of Lavrentiya with a population of 2.2 thousand, designed for the annual release of 700 thousand eggs.

In 2020, about 5 million eggs were produced in the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, which is 2.2 million more than in 2019. In 2021, 86 million rubles from the state budget will be allocated for the development of poultry farming in the region.
