The region maintains positive dynamics in cow productivity in agricultural organizations. Productivity increased by 167 kg, or 3%, the average was 5.6 thousand kg of milk per forage cow.

The highest milk yield per forage cow was obtained in the Triticum farm of the Cherlaksky district - 10.4 thousand kg, in LLC Leader of the Bolsherechensky district - 9.8 thousand kg, in JSC Razdolnoye of the Russko-Polyansky district - 9.3 thousand kg, SPK "Pushkinsky" of the Omsk region - 8.5 thousand kg, in LLC "Solyanoye" of the Cherlak region - 8.3 thousand kg, JSC "im. Kirov" Krutinsky district - 8.2 thousand kg and in JSC "Znamya" Maryanovsky district - 8.1 thousand kg.

“An important factor for the further development of the livestock industry is, of course, the modernization and construction of new livestock complexes. Further development of the livestock industry is possible only through the introduction of modern technologies, feed preparation, milking and keeping cows, which significantly facilitate the work of livestock farmers and improve the quality of the resulting products,” noted Nikolai Drofa, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Omsk Region.

In the sub-industry of dairy cattle breeding, large investment projects were implemented in such farms as the Tritikum Farm, the Ermak Farm, the Bolshevik Farm, the Tsvetnopolye OJSC, and the Pushkinsky Farm.

The following projects are at the implementation stage: SEC "Lesnoy" - construction of a livestock complex for 800 heads, OJSC "Pedigree stud farm "Omsky" - construction of a livestock complex for 1800 head of cows, peasant farm Konev A.M. – construction of a livestock complex for 1,200 cows, with the installation of a milking parlor.

Grant support is being provided in the region within the framework of the national project “Small and Medium Enterprises”. During its implementation, 194 farmers received support. The total amount was 1 billion 090 million rubles, including 111.4 million rubles from the regional budget.

In 2024 , the main directions of support for the livestock industry will be maintained. In addition, an additional subsidy will be allocated to agricultural producers in the region for the development of dairy cattle breeding in the northern and northern forest-steppe natural and climatic zones in the amount of 62.5 million rubles.

Support also continues to compensate for the costs of purchasing equipment for the production, storage (cooling) of milk, feeding (watering) calves and the comprehensive modernization of livestock farms for breeding dairy cattle in the northern zone of the Omsk region.

The priority objectives of the livestock industry for 2024 are to attract investment, build new and modernize existing production facilities, high-quality feed procurement, selection and breeding work , provide the industry with highly qualified personnel and maintain epizootic well-being.
