Photo by the Prosecutor General's Office, August 28, Gomel. A Svetlogorsk resident reported a false bomb threat to an ambulance dispatcher at the railway bridge over the Berezina, Gomel Transport Prosecutor Olga Lashchenko reported to BELTA.
Early in the morning of August 27, a Svetlogorsk resident born in 1977 called 103 from his own phone number and deliberately gave the ambulance dispatcher a false report about a bomb threat to the railway bridge over the Berezina River. "The man made the call at 5:51 a.m., while in a state of"Under the influence of alcohol , he dialed 103 instead of 102. The railway bridge is a strategic facility," the Gomel transport prosecutor said.
The information was not confirmed. The caller was detained. A criminal case has been opened. 
As Olga Lashchenko emphasized, the penalties under this article carry a maximum sentence of five years in prison. Furthermore, in such cases, the perpetrators are also required to pay the costs associated with the emergency services' response to the scene.
