February 6, Grodno. The Investigative Committee is conducting an investigation into the death of a man in a fire in the Dyatlovsky district. This was reported to a BelTA correspondent by the USC official representative for the Grodno region Inna Poznyak.

The incident took place on the night of February 6th. The fire broke out in one of the houses in the village of Pogiri. The corpse of a 62-year-old man, presumably the owner of the house, was found at the scene of the incident. Investigators, together with forensic experts, as well as rescuers, examined the scene, interviewed witnesses and neighbors. A number of examinations have been appointed.

IT was established that the man was unemployed, addicted to Alcohol, smoked a lot, including in the house. It was also found that the man heated his home with a gas stove.

Previously, careless handling of fire while smoking led to the fire.

The circumstances of the incident will be investigated by specialists.
