January 9, MINSK. The Ministry of Emergency Situations and the traffic police recommend to be careful in difficult weather conditions, BelTA informs.

As noted in the Ministry of Emergency Situations, today in some regions of the republic a blizzard, ice is expected, sleet on the roads, during the day in places the wind will increase in gusts up to 15-18 m/s. Hazard factors: damage (break) of communication and power lines, power failure, increase in accidents on life support systems, damage (collapse) of weakly reinforced structures, roofs of buildings, structures, falling trees, traffic obstruction, increased likelihood of traffic accidents, risk population trauma.

“Remember that the road and ALCOHOL are incompatible. Take care of yourself,” the traffic police added. “When driving in unstable weather conditions, slow down, increase the distance and side interval.”
