The Vitebsk Regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations summed up the results of a three-day training and field gathering of students at the University of Civil Protection of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Cadets of the rescue university examined more than 300 private households and apartments in the Shumilinsky district. In addition, they visited 1250 apartments and households in Vitebsk. On the first day of the gathering, the cadets worked in the Shumilinsky district, where they examined 319 private households. On the second and third days of fire and preventive work, future rescuers carried out preventive measures in the regional center. The focus has reportedly been on young parents.Summing up the collection, the rescue department noted that the cadets visited the households of 318 large families, 148 citizens living alone, 20 lonely and disabled people. In addition, cadets of the rescue university examined 45 households of citizens who abuse ALCOHOL. In 725 households, violations of fire safety rules were identified. In 468 households, there was a need to install autonomous fire detectors.
In total, rescuers instructed more than 2.6 thousand residents. The cadets reminded the population about safety rules and told how to ensure fire safety at home or summer cottage. In addition, the participants of the gathering explained to homeowners how to avoid injury to a person by fire, and also distributed visual preventive graphic products and helped to equip citizens' houses with fire detectors.
