The gross harvest of grain crops in the farms of Transbaikalia exceeded the level of 2020

Agrarians of the Trans-Baikal Territory continue harvesting agricultural crops. To date, the farms of the region have managed to thresh 12 thousand tons of grain more than a year earlier on the same date. This was announced by the HEAD of the regional agrarian department Denis Bochkarev.

“Currently, work on harvesting grain crops has been completed by 53%. 72 thousand hectares of sown areas have been mowed, the gross harvest is 95 thousand tons of grain. A year earlier, agricultural producers in Transbaikalia harvested a crop on a similar area, but received only 83 thousand tons of wheat, oats and barley. The average yield also exceeds last year's figures: 15.5 centners per hectare, while a year ago this figure was 13.4 centners per hectare,” the minister said.

According to him, the farms of the region have to carry out harvesting work on an area of 53,000 hectares.

“At the moment, dry and sunny weather has been established in most regions of the region. Our farmers need to have time to take advantage of the warm days in order to complete the harvest in the next two weeks,” Denis Bochkarev explained.

it should be noted that the leader in the gross harvest of grain crops is now the Priargunsky district, whose farms have harvested 21.5 thousand tons. Next come the agricultural organizations of the Chernyshevsky region, which received 15.8 thousand tons. Following are the agricultural enterprises of Borzinsky, Nerchinsk and Mogoytuysky districts, which today sent to the bins an average of 6.7 thousand tons of grain.
