According to statistics, in the Vologda region over 10 months of this year, 80,731,900 half-liters of mineral and drinking water were produced, and 307,900 deciliters of soft drinks.
Compared to the same period last year, water production increased by 8.1%, while soft drink production decreased. In January - October of this year, more drinks and water were produced overall than in 2022.
Manufacturers of water and beverages worthily represent our region on the Russian food market. The products are recognizable and can be found in all stores in the region. Enterprises win awards for the quality of their products in various quality competitions. High quality is confirmed by the “Real Vologda Product” sign.
“The region continues to label drinks and other types of products in the “Honest Sign” system. From March 1, 2022, drinking water will be labeled. On December 1 of this year, the first stage of labeling of non-alcoholic drinks packaged in glass or polymer packaging (except for juices, nectars, fruit drinks and plant-based drinks) started. From March 1, 2024, drinks in aluminum containers will be labeled, and from June 1, 2024, drinks in all types of packaging will be labeled,” said Sergei Poromonov, head of the region’s Department of Agriculture and Food Resources.
The purpose of food labeling is to combat counterfeit goods. A digital code will allow you to trace the entire route from the production of a product to its retail sale. After the goods are sold, i.e. will go out of circulation, reuse of the marking code is unacceptable. Thus, the consumer gets the opportunity to protect himself from low-quality purchases.
