In Rostov Oblast, industrial production of turkey meat increased by 37% in the first half of the year

In the Don region, the development of complexes included in the Damate group of companies since 2020 for the industrial production of turkey and duck MEAT continues.
Thus, the Indyushkin Dvor enterprise produced 31 thousand tons of turkey meat in the first half of 2024 , which is 37% more than in the same period last year. Significant growth was made possible by the launch of the fifth block of 40 poultry houses and an increase in the number of commercial poultry. The capacity of the block for growing commercial poultry is more than one million heads of poultry per year.
"In general, according to the results of 6 months, the Damate company increased turkey production by 9% to 126 thousand tons in slaughter weight. The growth in indicators occurred due to the effective work of turkey breeding complexes in the Rostov and Penza regions, as well as the launch of a breeding reproducer for the production of turkey hatching eggs in the Tyumen region, - noted Andrey Sedov, General DIRECTOR of the Damate group of companies. - The company plans to continue implementing projects in three regions by the end of 2024 and ensure stable operation of the enterprises with further growth in turkey meat production volumes."
it is important to note that the company's achievement of full self-sufficiency in Russian turkey hatching eggs and refusal from foreign supplies also had a positive effect on production indicators. Damate is the only turkey producer in RUSSIA with its own industrial parent stock.
"It is important that the Don enterprises, which are part of the Damate Group of Companies, gradually brought the capacity of all production facilities to planned indicators, and this is reflected in the overall growth in meat production volumes in the region," commented the Deputy Governor of the Rostov Region -Minister of Agriculture and Food Konstantin Rachalovsky. - For the Don region, as previously noted by the Governor of the Rostov Region Vasily Golubev, the issue of poultry processing is important to ensure food security. In this regard, the purchase of feed is subsidized so that the company can increase production volumes. The regional budget provides 600 million rubles for this year and 300 million rubles for 2025-2026."
Recall that the Damate company increased turkey production in the Rostov Region to 54 thousand tons in slaughter weight in 2023.
