Agricultural producers of the Minusinsk, Shushensky, Krasnoturansky, Kuraginsky and Novoselovsky districts began field work. Farms cover moisture and feed perennial grasses. As of April 12, moisture was closed on 13.5 thousand hectares. 251.5 tons of active substance of mineral fertilizers were applied to 5.1 thousand hectares.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the region Sergei Shekk noted that farmers in the southern regions of the region traditionally begin spring field work earlier than farmers in other crop-growing areas of the region. This year was no exception.
“They plan to start planting en masse in the first ten days of May, which also corresponds to the long-term average values. Ministry specialists regularly hold meetings with local heads of agricultural departments via videoconferencing. We are monitoring the issues of providing villagers with the necessary material and technical resources for successful sowing and preparation for the fire-dangerous period,” said Sergei Shekk.
More than 63 thousand tons of the active substance of mineral fertilizers were delivered to the region - 81.7% of the planned volume, which is slightly higher than last year. Farmers continue to enter into supply contracts. 89% of seeds of grain and leguminous crops meet the requirements of the standard. The remaining volume of the farm is being worked on and brought to sowing conditions.
The region is fully supplied with grain and leguminous seeds, 98% of potatoes, 90.5% of rapeseed. The need will be met through on-farm seed production and the purchase of seed material. Agricultural equipment is on average 91% ready for field work. Farmers import fuel and lubricants according to plan.
The sown area of agricultural crops in the region this year will increase by 30 thousand hectares and amount to more than 1.5 million hectares. it is planned to grow by 23.3% compared to last year under rapeseed, by 25% – under peas, and by 73% – under soybeans.
According to forecasters, the moisture supply of fields for the first half of the growing season will be sufficient throughout the entire agricultural territory of the region.
Since the beginning of the year, agricultural producers in the region have received 805 million rubles from the federal and regional budgets. The money was used for per-hectare support, MILK production , livestock breeding, social payments for the construction and purchase of housing in rural areas, improvement of rural areas and other purposes. In total, 7.6 billion rubles are allocated for the development of agriculture, food and processing industries in the region this year.
