More than 1.1 billion were paid to medical workers who fell ill with COVID-19 in Bashkiria

Since the beginning of the pandemic, the regional branch of the Social Insurance Fund has made almost 15.3 thousand payments to medical workers who have become ill with CORONAVIRUS infection. The amount of insurance charges amounted to 1.14 billion rubles. it includes payments received by the families of 33 doctors who died from covid-19 - 91 million rubles. This was reported to RBC Ufa in the republican FSS.

One-time insurance payments to doctors who became infected with the coronavirus during the performance of their duties are made by decree of President Vladimir Putin. The amount of the payment is 68.8 thousand rubles.

If COVID-19 caused disability of the first group, then the amount of transfers is more than 2 million rubles, the second group - 1.38 million rubles, the third - 688.1 thousand rubles. 2.75 million rubles are received by the families of doctors who died from the infection.

A medical organization that has established a case of illness in an employee must notify the FSS and his employer of the diagnosis. The latter creates a medical commission to investigate the causes of infection of a physician with a coronavirus, it includes representatives of the Foundation. Based on the results of the investigation, documents on the existence of an insured event are sent to the FSS, which makes payments.

As RBC Ufa reported, according to the Ministry of HEALTH at the end of October, almost 12.7 thousand medical workers, including doctors and nurses, had been infected in the region. Eight employees of medical institutions were diagnosed with disability after the disease. The ministry explains the difference with the figures provided by the FSS by the fact that the Fund's report includes not only medical workers, but also other personnel working in medical institutions.
