In Yugra, they figured out how to replace the sharply risen in price of dog food

In Nizhnevartovsk, the team of the Yezhkin Kot Zoo Center has developed a premium class hypoallergenic dog food. The new products are designed to replace more expensive foreign analogues, the price of which has jumped 2-3 times due to sanctions. 

“We are looking for a healthy alternative that could replace high priced foods. Contains only beef and fish. I turned to the factory with my developed recipe. December and January were tested, in early February, the products appeared on the shelves, ”said Raisa Sharafutdinova, HEAD of the zoo center, to Vsluh.ru.

Daria Neustroeva, veterinarian at the Nika Zoological Center, believes that against the backdrop of rising prices for imported feed and the withdrawal of some brands from the market, domestic production of dog food will begin to develop. 

“Because of the sanctions, feed prices have really skyrocketed by 2-3 times. Our domestic feeds will most likely begin to develop now, because half of the foreign competitors have left the market, and those that remain have risen in price by at least 50%. For example, our domestic BestDinner has already developed a new line for cats with kidney problems. Winner from Miratorg also announced the development of a therapeutic line of feed. If we talk about prices, then the current cost of domestic feed can be compared with the cost of imported feed even before all events. Therefore, it is quite logical to assume that our feed will begin to replace foreign ones, ”commented Daria Neustroeva to RBC Tyumen. 

The press service of the government of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Yugra also added that in May they plan to establish a similar production of food for cats.
