The WHO called the timing of revaccination for people with weakened immune systems

People with a low immune response should be revaccinated against CORONAVIRUS infection six months after receiving a full course of vaccination. This was reported by the representative of the World HEALTH Organization (WHO) in RUSSIA, Melita Vujnovic, on the air of the Russia 1 TV channel.

“Now they recommend people with low immunity to be revaccinated, this is a booster dose, after six months,” she said.

The WHO representative believes that the coronavirus pandemic in the world will end only after reaching a sufficient level of herd immunity.

The Ministry of Health recommended using Sputnik Light only for revaccination Society

Earlier, similar terms were given by the HEAD of the Center named after Sputnik V. Gamalei Alexander Gintsburg. According to him, six months is the minimum period in which previously developed antibodies are kept at a high level and provide protection, regardless of the effectiveness of the immune system. Gunzburg added that such a period before re-vaccination is due to the appearance of the SARS-CoV-2 delta strain, due to which it is necessary to maintain a high level of protective antibodies.
