In eight Russian regions, an increase in the incidence of coronavirus is recorded, Anna Popova, head of Rospotrebnadzor, said on the Russia 24 channel.
In 47 subjects, the number of cases is declining, another 30 regions “remain on a plateau, that is, there is no upward or downward dynamics yet,” Popova said. “And let’s hope that they will cope with the situation so that further development will be exclusively a reduction in the challenge to us,” she said.
The head of Rospotrebnadzor noted that in regions where more than 60% of the adult population have been vaccinated against coronavirus, the incidence of COVID-19 is declining more intensively compared to those subjects where less than half of the residents have been vaccinated. “And if it’s even less than 30%, there are also such entities, there are several of them, the situation there is not at all good,” she said.
Moscow returned to first place in the number of new COVID cases per day Society
“Where the aggregate adult population is well vaccinated, the virus recedes. Where it’s bad, the virus sets in,” added the head of Rospotrebnadzor.
