In the farms of the Slutsk region, where they have practically completed the harvesting of grain and sowing of winter rapeseed, they have begun active fodder harvesting. Agrarians face a serious task: to lay at least 30 fodder units per conditional HEAD of livestock for wintering. The State Enterprise "Rachkovichi" plans to overfulfill it, almost doubling this figure. BelTA correspondents watched how the process was set up.
Don't carry stock on your backThe number of cattle in the state enterprise "Rachkovichi" of the Slutsk region reaches almost 6 thousand cows and young animals. To feed him, while receiving the optimal amount of MILK and MEAT, you need to create an appropriate supply of high-quality feed. Traditionally, the farm stocks almost double the full requirement, thus providing a cushion and stress protection for the livestock industry in the event of a crop failure next year.
And even in this, despite the weather anomalies and drought, the Rachkovichi know that the plans will be fulfilled, because there are all conditions for this.
“Now we are laying fresh haylage, and the animals’ diet is still last year’s, and of the highest quality. Moreover, we sell surplus feed to other farms that do not have this stock. 50 thousand tons of haylage and silage,” said the DIRECTOR of the agricultural enterprise Nikolay Krasutsky.
Well, confirmation of the reality of this figure is the fact that this year the farm has grown not only a good harvest of grain, but also herbs. For example, 800 hectares are set aside for alfalfa, a valuable protein crop, the third cut of which began to be removed after the completion of the grain harvest. It will form the basis of the haylage.
“The yield of alfalfa is enviable: one trench, in which approximately 2.5 thousand tons of green mass, was rammed in two days. The feed will be exclusively first class, which is confirmed by all degrees of quality control. Last year, more than 10,000 kg of milk was received from one cow, and it is possible to hold the positions only with a good supply of forage of proper quality.
Nikolai KrasutskyAs of August 21, the farm stocked 14.7 centners of feed units per conventional head, and by the end of the week it is planned to increase the volume to 20 centners.
A great help for animal husbandry is fodder. Gross harvest of grain in "Rachkovichi" amounted to 15.6 thousand tons, which is higher than last year. Winter crops, and only this group is sown on the farm, relying on barley and wheat, yielded over 60 centners per hectare.
Working hands at a special price“After the harvest was over, I offered our machine operators to rest at home for a couple of days. Knowing how important it is now to use every hour for agricultural work, they refused the weekend. It is on such dedicated workers that the economy keeps. Since the spring crops were excluded from the wedge, winter sowing will be 2.5 thousand hectares, so we use all resources to the maximum so that we can carry out fodder harvesting, soil preparation, and sowing in the optimal time. For example, three pieces of equipment are involved in plowing, which is carried out around the clock. two machine operators. And after all, corn is also suitable for the field. Sowing of grain crops must be carried out in the optimal time, which we try to do every year," Nikolai Krasutsky said.
Forage harvesting on the farm is carried out by two forage harvesters, two mowers, 6-8 pieces of equipment, depending on the distance from the field to the trench, are involved in transportation. Those machine operators who only yesterday worked on grain harvesters switched to tractors. Now thousand-strong combine operators are becoming leaders in forage harvesting - they mow, ram.
“For example, Mikhail Fandyukhin, who has threshed about 3,000 tons, is busy on the trench. And our leader Alexander Antiptsev, who has the second place in harvesting, is the best at tamping. MTZ 3522. The Boyarin trailer, also new, carries 38 tons at once. In two years, we bought five of these tractors, handing them over to the most responsible and experienced machine operators. This is a force that performs a huge amount of work," said Nikolay Krasutsky.
Mow can not be leftA field with alfalfa, cultivated on the site of former plots unused by the villagers, pleases with its yield. The culture endured the drought of this year with dignity, as if it suggested that it was on it that one should bet in fodder. The farm plans to remove not only its third mowing, but also the fourth.
"The source of starch for animal husbandry is corn. This year, it pleases. We sow more than 1.2 thousand hectares for silage and grain. Grain is ivy and canned in sleeves. We will dry some of the corn grain and use it for the production of compound feed," he explained. supervisor.
Vyacheslav Yevsyuk is one of those who work in the forage industry. His old "John Deere" copes with this task.
Vyacheslav Evsyuk"This forage harvester is ten years old. It works well. And I myself have been on the farm for a quarter of a century, having trained my sons-mechanic workers for it. We are from here, we have not left anywhere, we work on our native land. therefore, the mood is appropriate," the mechanic shared.
Well, in the former swamp, where reclamation took place, hay is being harvested. The yield of herbs is evidenced by a large number of rolls in a white film. Winter in "Rachkovichi" is expected to be hearty for cows.
