April 7, Grodno. The State Control Committee of the Grodno region found poor-quality feed, as well as violations in the maintenance of livestock at livestock facilities in five districts. This was told to a BelTA correspondent by Alexander Dobruk, head of the department of the State Control Committee of the Grodno region.

During inspections, KGC specialists visited livestock facilities in more than 50 agricultural organizations. Some of them were found to be in violation. "The facts of unbalanced feeding of animals, inadequate conditions for keeping livestock have not been eradicated, some workers do not pay due attention to the rearing of young cattle. Due to non-compliance with the harvesting and storage technology, the facts of the presence of low-quality feed on farms have been established. This negatively affects the productivity of animals," - said Alexander Dobruk.

For example, facts of violations in feeding and creating proper conditions of detention were established in Slonim, Oshmyansky, Lida, Svisloch and Smorgon regions. But comments are promptly removed. As emphasized in KGC, the basis of animal husbandry is a powerful fodder base. It allows you to provide the industry with feed in the required quantity. If in previous years a number of farms, due to miscalculations in forage procurement, had to buy and import feed not only from other regions of the region, but also from other regions of the republic, then the number of such farms has significantly decreased. Only four agricultural organizations of the region purchase feed within their districts.

"In the two months of 2022, the farms of the Grodno region produced 224.3 thousand tons of milk, the production of livestock and poultry amounted to 45.6 thousand tons, eggs - 67.3 million pieces. These products are raw materials for processing enterprises that sell them not only within the country, but also for export. In recent years, significant work has been done in the region on the construction of new, modern dairy farms, a forage procurement mechanism has been established to provide the livestock industry with feed. And only with strict observance of the technological regulations for growing livestock products, you can get maximum efficiency industry," concluded Alexander Dobruk.
