Belarus has become the largest player in the world market of dairy products.

This was stated on the second day of the VII Export Forum "Belarus Dairy" by the head of the main department of the processing industry of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Alexander Shcherbenok. He said that Belarus now ranks 3rd in the world in the export of butter after New Zealand and the European Union, 4th in the export of cheese, 5th in the export of skimmed milk powder.

For successful exporting, the work of not only specialists in foreign economic activity is important. First of all, you need to take care of the production of the required quantity and quality of milk. For this, Alexander Shcherbenok noted, workers of processing enterprises are actively cooperating with producers of raw materials. Their areas of concern are from forage harvesting to the condition of milking equipment and the health of cows.

70% of the total production volume is occupied by the export of Savushkin Product OJSC. As Alexander Savchits, General Director of the enterprise, noted, today, in order to increase the output and foreign supplies of dairy products, it is necessary to invest in the development of the raw materials zone. The company includes 155 agricultural enterprises. This year, the joint-stock company invested 44 million rubles in the technical renovation and reconstruction of farms. This makes it possible to obtain high-quality milk: 96 percent of it is supplied for processing with the highest and extra grade, and extra - 76 percent of raw materials. The workshops of the company's factories have the world's best equipment. Over the past 3 years, 500 million rubles have been invested in its renovation.
