Altai is interested in Belarusian experience in milk processing and dairy farming

May 28, MINSK . Representatives of the Altai Territory expressed interest in learning about the Belarusian experience in MILK processing and dairy farming. Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Vadim Shagoiko spoke about this during the 9th meeting of the bilateral commission for coordinating cooperation between Belarus and the Altai Territory, BELTA reports.

Industry agricultural departments of Belarus and the Russian region have identified promising areas of cooperation. These include increasing the turnover of food products and agricultural raw materials and conducting joint selection of Belarusian varieties of soybean seeds. The possibilities of supplying highly productive livestock seed to the Altai Territory and increasing the supply of equipment for livestock breeding facilities have also been explored. The Belarusian side, in addition, confirmed its readiness to share with its Altai colleagues its experience in milk processing and the peculiarities of dairy cattle breeding.

“Trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and the Altai Territory is based on mutually beneficial supplies of food and agricultural raw materials. The main positions of Belarusian exports to the Russian region are milk and dairy products,fish and fish products, malt, cattle MEAT , FLOUR confectionery products. We import from the Altai Territory the missing grain and legumes, oilseeds and fruits, confectionery products with SUGAR, as well as sunflower oil ,” said Vadim Shagoiko. - it should be noted that every year work is carried out to increase the range of products offered for sale and expand the list of goods exported to the Altai Territory. In particular, at the end of 2023, the assortment expanded by 17 types; this year, another 14 types of supplied products were added." Thus, Gomelagrokomplekt, through dealers and partners located in RUSSIA, supplies refrigeration equipment for livestock breeding facilities to the Altai Territory. Belarusian national biotechnological corporations, in turn, began supplying amino acids to the Altai Territory last year. At the same time, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture emphasized that cooperation between Belarus and the Altai Territory is not limited to trade relations. Bilateral interaction is also carried out in the educational and scientific spheres at the level of higher educational institutions. and scientific organizations of the Altai Territory.
