A farm for 200 million for 500 cows will appear in Mari El

Yuri Zaitsev visited the livestock complex of the Akpars agricultural firm. The main activity of this agricultural company is dairy and meat farming and the cultivation of grain and leguminous crops. At the moment, the enterprise ranks fifth in the republic in milk production. The farm contains 1,795 heads of cattle , of which 600 are cows. In the first six months of 2024 , the agricultural company produced 3.2 thousand tons of milk, with the milk yield per cow amounting to 5,322 kilograms.

The company plans further development and for this purpose intends to build a dairy farm for 500 cows. The investment project worth more than 200 million rubles is planned to be implemented in the period from 2026 to 2028. As a result of the project, the number of cows will increase to 1,100 heads, and the volume of milk production will reach 10 thousand tons by 2030.

The head of Mari El emphasized that this project will not only increase the volume of milk production in the republic, but will also create new jobs, and also increase revenues to the republican budget.
