
In December 2021, the Office of the ROSSELKHOZNADZOR for the Orel and Kursk regions conducted an unscheduled on-site inspection of Pobeda LLC, which breeds cattle in the Konyshevsky district of the Kursk region, the press service of the department reported.
During the audit, violations of veterinary rules for keeping cattle for the purpose of its reproduction, cultivation and sale were revealed. In particular, the enterprise did not have a disinfection barrier and a fence preventing the entry of wild animals into the territory.
In addition, as part of the inspection, 10 samples of stabilized blood and blood serum of cattle were selected and sent for research to the Oryol branch of the TsNMVL.
When conducting a laboratory analysis of five samples of stabilized blood of cattle by the hematological method, leukemia was detected in three samples. Examination of five blood serum samples by the RID method showed the presence of antibodies to the leukemia virus.
This information was sent by the TU of the Rosselkhoznadzor to the Veterinary Department of the Kursk Region for taking measures within its competence. On December 12, in accordance with the law "On Veterinary Medicine", quarantine was imposed on the farm. Currently, the state veterinary service is carrying out a set of measures aimed at preventing the spread and eliminating the focus of bovine leukemia.
Based on the results of the audit in relation to Pobeda LLC, the Office of the Rosselkhoznadzor drew up a protocol under Part 1 of Art. 10.6 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation.
An order was issued to eliminate the identified violations.
