The territorial body of the Federal State Statistics Service published data on production and livestock in agricultural organizations of the Kursk region. The final results of the agricultural year have not yet been summed up, but it is already known that meat production indicators for 11 months of this year, compared to the same period in 2020, decreased by 6.2%. At the same time, milk production increased by 9.2%.

The main producers of milk in the Kursk region were the enterprises of the Bolshesoldatsky and Belovsky districts. They account for a quarter of all milk produced in the region.

The analytical note also notes the leaders in the production of livestock and poultry for slaughter. It turns out that agricultural enterprises of only three districts of the region (Pristensky, Gorshechensky and Konyshevsky) provide almost 58% of the total regional production with their products.

Also, statistics indicate an increase in the regional number of cattle by 12.1%, sheep and goats - by 16.7%, and a slight drop in the number of pigs. Their number in the region decreased by 0.2%.
