The laboratory developed three formulas of additives: with savory oil, oregano oil and their mixture. The test results showed that the additive based on savory oil has a positive effect on the health of rabbits, while the additive with oregano increases the weight of broilers by 10-15%. Previously, such additives were imported from abroad - from Slovenia, Great Britain and the Czech Republic, but now Crimea provides a full cycle from growing plants to producing finished products.

Scientists are fundamentally striving to replace growth hormones and antibiotics in animal husbandry with their innovative additives, which will also enrich meat with valuable microelements, such as iodine. In the future, it is planned to launch a plant for the production of compound feed, which can significantly increase the volume of rabbit meat production in the region. Crimea has the potential to become a leading producer of rabbit meat in Russia, which is already being discussed in light of modern imports and consumer demand.
