"If we rely on the doctrine of food security, then we need to provide the region with products of our own production of MILK by 90% and MEAT by 85%. For meat, we fully comply with this requirement, and for milk we lack about 72 thousand tons. To solve the tasks it is necessary to increase the dairy herd, intensify work on the construction and modernization of dairy complexes - it is necessary to build at least eight new complexes.This year we have the task of increasing the gross production of livestock products to the level of last year, namely: milk by 2.5%, meat livestock and poultry to increase production by 1.3%," Dereka said.
He noted that in accordance with the development strategy, by 2030 it is planned to increase the volume of milk production in the region to 2.2 million tons, meat - up to 807 thousand tons. Now there are 15 breeding farms in the region, where, according to the results of 2022, 2.7 thousand heads of young animals were grown with an annual need of the region in the amount of 5 thousand heads. "The production of young animals in our breeding farms is the number one urgent task that will need to be addressed," Dereka concluded.
In the Krasnodar Territory at the beginning of 2023, there are 558 thousand heads of cattle, 672 thousand heads of pigs, 227 thousand heads of sheep and goats, 23 million heads of poultry. According to the press service of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnodar Territory, the volume of state support for the development of animal husbandry in 2023 is almost 2.3 billion rubles, which is almost two times more than in 2018. “When we adopted a profile law in 2018 , many people had a question - what goals does it pursue. The document determined the prospects for the industry, gave it an impetus for development, and helps attract investment in it,” commented Yury Burlachko, chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnodar Territory.
