July 28, MINSK . The Vitebsk region has great potential in the development of the livestock industry. This was told to journalists by Igor Brylo, who is now assistant to the President of the Republic of Belarus in the Vitebsk region, BelTA has learned.

"Ambitious tasks have been set by the President of the country, and first of all, this is work with personnel potential, with those people who are in the reserve of the HEAD of state," said Igor Brylo. "We need to pay attention to the work of district and city executive committees."

"The head of state drew attention to agricultural issues and, first of all, to compliance with technologies in animal husbandry and crop production. Therefore, we will actively deal with technological issues and try to tighten the Vitebsk region in a short period of time so that more MILK and MEAT are produced, fill the production capacities of meat and dairy enterprises, - said the assistant to the President. - We have a fairly large reserve in the Vitebsk region."

He compared the situation with the capacity utilization of meat and milk processing enterprises in Brest and Grodno, where producers are pressing on processors. The Vitebsk region has a very large production reserve in livestock products. “Therefore, maximum attention will be paid to the livestock industry,” Igor Brylo noted. “If we add 5-7% annually, then I think we can increase the production of meat and milk quite well within three to four years. ”

Answering the question about the mood with which he was going to work, Igor Brylo emphasized: "The mood is fighting. I know the region firsthand. Over the course of 10 years of work at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, I often managed to visit the Vitebsk region. The region is good, the people are good."
