The preliminary cause of the major fire at the Chelyabinsk poultry farm has been determined.

A fire at a poultry farm in the village of Roshchino was caused by an electrical fault, the press center of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Chelyabinsk Region told RG.

The previous day, the fire engulfed buildings where poultry were raised. The fire started in the roof of a 7,000-square-meter facility.

Twelve firefighting units were dispatched to the scene to quickly contain the blaze, and 46 firefighters participated in the effort.

According to preliminary reports, the incident was caused by an electrical fault. No one was injured.
