The total volume of meat exports in 2023 increased by 11%

In absolute figures, exports last year amounted to more than 600 thousand tons or approximately $1.4 billion. The main driver of growth was pig products , exports of which increased by 38% and exceeded 240 thousand tons – about $500 million. The largest sales item, besides pork, was offal - their exports increased by 97% compared to 2022 and showed a result of 43.2 thousand tons.

“The opening of new markets and the prospect of cooperation with eastern partners is additional motivation for our company. AGROECO is actively preparing to enter the Chinese market . Offal and certain parts of the pig, which are less in demand in RUSSIA, are especially popular here. Last year AGROECO produced 28 thousand tons of by-products, the plan for this year is already 40 thousand tons. We are ready for new challenges, both in the domestic and EXPORT markets,” said Vladimir Maslov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of AGROECO Group of Companies.

The results, plans, achievements and role of pig farming in the MEAT industry were discussed at an extended meeting of the Board of Directors of the National Union of Pig Breeders. The event was organized at the leading meat processing plant AGROECO in the Pavlovsky district of the Voronezh region. About 40 guests gathered here: members of the NSS Board of Directors, owners and managers of pig-breeding holdings, as well as representatives of federal departments and regional authorities .
