Heifers from Europe replenished the herds of livestock facilities of the Agropromkomplektatsiya Group of Companies in the Kursk Region

The Department of Dairy and MEAT Animal Husbandry of the Agropromkomplektatsiya Group of Companies continues to recruit herds of livestock facilities commissioned in the summer of 2021 in the Dmitrievsky and Zheleznogorsk districts of the Kursk region, the press service of the holding reported.

Two batches of Holstein heifers of 124 and 125 heads were delivered to the Dmitrievsky cattle dairy complex from a German exporter of breeding cattle.

439 heifers from the Netherlands arrived at the quarantine site of the Troitsky dairy complex. Further, they will be distributed among the livestock facilities of the Agropromkomplektatsiya Group of Companies.

All animals have breeding certificates, are completely healthy and endured the road well. Within a month, they will have to undergo a complex of veterinary measures at quarantine sites.

In the meantime, specialists from the Department of Dairy and Meat Animal Husbandry conducted several selections of breeding animals in the city of Leeuwarden, which is located in the northern Dutch province of Friesland. 442 heifers were selected on the farm of Kroes & Jansma BV, and 272 heifers on the farm of the breeding stock supplier Hunland Impex BV. BOVI Danmark BV will supply 340 heads of cattle to the dairy complexes of the Agropromkomplektatsiya Group of Companies.

“We are faced with the task of bringing new livestock facilities in the Kursk region to full capacity in the spring of 2022,” comments Maria Gridasova, Chief Livestock Breeding Specialist of the Department of Dairy and Meat Animal Husbandry of the Agropromkomplektatsiya Group of Companies. – The selected animals meet all the necessary parameters. Now they are undergoing quarantine measures at the sites of breeding exporters, after which we will organize their transportation by special cattle trucks to the Kursk region - to the dairy complexes of the cattle of the group of companies.
